North East Youth League Overall
Phoenix riders wrapped up their challenge in the 2014 North East Youth League with another round of strong performances.
With the Overall league based on the first 9 rounds, there was only pride to play for in the final round 10, but out riders still fought for every position with wins for Beth Orchard, Grace Castle, while Jake Dobson placed second, Will Hetherington third and Daniel Saba fourth
Muddy Mondays - Phoenix finish with 4 Podiums!
Newcastle Phoenix rounded off the 4 event series with Grace Castle retaining her 2013 title while Ben Scott and Daniel Saba placed 3rd overall. Will Hetherington, the clubs rapidly improving rider was unlucky not to carry his overall lead into the final standings, but still ended up second.
Virgin Money Newcastle Leazes Crits
Well we set out to make an impression at the Cyclone weekend, and its fair to say everyone in the club played their part. The turnout was magnificent and we were't the only ones who noticed.
We kicked off the weekend with a string of strong performances that was only tempered by Jay Dixon having to retire through injury after almost snatching the win last year.
Grace is National Champion!
As if last weeks efforts weren't enough, Newcastle Phoenix now has a National Champion in their ranks after Grace's storming ride in the BSCA Time Trial Championships at Prissick.
Grace covered the 5 mile course in 15:10 to beat Otley CC's Charlotte Parris by almost a minute and joint placed Niamh Stinton (Cleveland Whs) and Rosin Lally (One Life) by 1:23
Phoenix riders kicked off the 2014 NEXCMTB series at the weekend with some more strong performances.
While Grace Castle turned in another solid ride to start her defence of her 2013 title, the surprised was Matthew Green who, in his first open event missed the podium by one step when he placed 4th out of 11 riders in the Under 12 category

Hi, so I haven’t done a blog in a while so here it is.
At the start of 2014 I set myself the goal of completing 2300 miles by the end of 2014
I'm happy to be the new race captain for the boys.
